This both traditional and contemporary collection is inspired by ancient Russian tableware forms. Raw yet refined, these handmade objects can be used for serving food, yet they are also beautiful decorative pieces. Only natural materials are used. Oak is the main material and linseed oil – the natural analogue of varnish - is used for the finish. A natural process for coloring the oak is applied. Using ancient Northern craft techniques, the wood is put into water with salts and the tannins react making the wood dark. Tannins in oak wood have natural sanitizing and healing values.

Each object is original. Distinctive features may include wood rings and forms, little cracks or rough patches, as well as differences in color tones and intensities.
